Forget-me-not
Last update: 17th November 2021

Memory is something bittersweet. Bitter as it cannot be repeated, and sweet as it is made together with loved ones. As humans actively make memories, the brain also erases them one at a time. The more they try to remember, the more likely they will forget about it. However, the warm feeling of memories still exists, even though sometimes they forget the details of every story. Like fireflies on a midsummer night, the memory always brightens the night until the dawn breaks the day, leaving nothing behind. Only through photographs one can freeze moments, but the stories will be remembered vaguely.

Forget-me-not is truly an ongoing project of my personal memories. It started when I moved to Europe from the eastern part of the globe in September 2019. I thought having these photographs would stop time. Yet, I finally realized how much I have lost instead of the thousand moments I had.
